This is my favourite picture. The reason this is my favourite picture is because it has a interesting contrast between the different areas of the picture such as the clouds are white and pure and then the trees are green and healthy and the fact that the person laying in the bottom left is wearing blue and that contrasts the red floor giving the idea of contrasting colours the same goes with the blue crate in the background of the picture.
Roger Fenton/Richard Prince comparison
I think that the pictures say a lot about the world because they're both nice pictures but they have weird backstory's because the valley of the shadow of death the picture is calm but its actually the result of war. There are two similarities between the two pictures is that they are both edited versions of the original photo. One of the most significant differences is the colour and the way that it plays tricks on your mind. In the left photo the most interesting and what i think is important is that the way the clouds are set out to be huge and on the right picture the most important thing is the cannon balls. When I look at the left picture I feel free and awake like the colours are hitting me but when I look at the right photo i feel calm but a scared calm like the calm after a storm. The reason that there controversial is because they where both changed from a different photo the left one is a cigarette commercial and the one on the right is a picture that was changed by someone because the cannon balls were moved on the road in that picture which is the second one.
The main thing that I can tell is missing is the most of the detail and shading but also there is added extras on the right side it looks like theres a bin in the right corner. One thing i find unusual is the way that there are just random shapes but they make it look like there is a level of detail to the picture. When I look at these pictures I feel very optically confused but also wondrous because the picture makes your imagination go wild to think of what the different shapes could mean.
trees/water
i could only take a few in hyde park in London but I will try and get more and some of the water ones are from when I went on holiday.
brea souders
She is able to take what appears to be a glitch and make it into art by just showing them in different formats and this is very effective at creating a new look on the world it can also be taken as an interpretation of the idea that not everyone is perfect but you can still be beautiful.
Dafna Talmor
In this video she explains and shows how she makes the pictures. One of her main objectives whilst making these pictures is to make the viewer feel a more in-depth feeling about the environment and also show the viewer that you can take a lot of other pictures and make them fit like one photo. The way she's able to do this is by cutting up different pieces of film and using an enlarger to piece together the pieces of the photos and make them one in the same photo. It is shown in the end of the video that the piece that she makes is very complex and a perfect way to show that it is possible to make art out of anything.
making day
These are a few pictures that Iv'e been working on today during my all day assessment and Im' very proud of them because they are quite extract and different and below are the pictures that these were mixed to make. I used a pinhole camera my favourite type of camera due to it being simple but complicated at the same time.
film pictures
These are the pictures that I made.
The way that I made these was by using the following items:
The way I did this was by finding two different sets of three old film pieces cutting them up and putting them into a formation that I thought looked good then I taped it together and punched holes into the slide and the picture I didn't find this task very difficult to do but I thought it was good fun and took some creativity to make it look good.
- 35mm transparent slide brought on eBay
- cutting mat
- tape
- scalpels
- coloured cellophane
- scraps of old transparencies
- slide projector
- mobile phone

my film project
In this project we used film to make pictures resembling a landscape or another set of scenery this was quite difficult due to the amount of different creative possibilities there was a lot of different things that i could of done and there was a lot of pieces of film that I could have put together and make some quite interesting pieces of art and I chose to make these because they make me feel like there not to complicated but there enough to catch an eye as well as the fact that they also have a lot of meaning.
I felt that the meaning that they have is that because there someone else's memories we take multiple memories and change them into brand new memories for us.

Constructed Landscapes personal response
This part of my page will consist of all of the pieces of work that I've done throughout the last couple of months based around PINHOLE PHOTOGRAPHY
my evaluation
The pieces of photography that I've been making has been a journey it started as just an idea but I turned my aspirations into reality I did this through hours of hard independent work and it pays off.
Throughout the last few months I've found myself working hard to accomplish my goal of a fully fleshed out website and I have made it happen the pinhole photos that are scattered throughout my page consist of my fails and successes I did this to show that the final product isn't the only important thing the journey is just as important and its the failures that allowed me to grow as a photography student.
In this final project I decided to present my ideas of constructed landscapes by using pinhole photography I did this by using many different objects to create a camera and allow people to see the world through the eyes of a camera. the photos that I have presented on my website are a collage of my hand made pinhole photos I did this with nothing more than a old phone box some tape and photosensitive paper.
Whilst doing the making of photos I also researched other artists such as Dafna Talmor who used old film from an old camera to make beautiful pieces of art that made me want to do something different and then I decided to make pinholes. When I first started to make pinholes I didn't think I would do that well but I surpassed my expectations and did amazingly I think but it was quite difficult to do and this was because the time of day, the weather, the season and many other things made it change the cameras exposure time making it difficult to get consistent results but despite that I still had lots of fun making the pictures.
